A Welsh Cultural Tour

Get A Quote

From medieval castles to industrial mines and literary legacies to musical heritage, this private tour of Wales for Mrs and Mrs Green had a real focus on Welsh culture. Highlights included The Big Pit – a former working coal mine, the Roman fort of Caerleon and the ancient Ty Mawr Wybrnant – the birthplace of Bishop William Morgan, the first translator of The Bible into Welsh. On the way back to London they passed through the Forest of Dean where both JK Rowling and the wife of JRR Tolkein grew up. The forest is thought to have been the inspiration for “The Forbidden Forest” and “Mirkwood”.
